Mobi Print | iOS Printing From Photos
To print an image from your photo album, you will need to download the app *WORKFLOW* from the app store. This function is for editing or resizing/cropping your document. The Workflow app gives you the ability to convert an image to any type of file; we’ll be using it to create a PDF to print with Mobi Print.
Open the app and follow the instructions for set up. You may be asked to create a PDF or GIF as a test.
Create a workflow with the + icon or select “Create Workflow.”
Click on “Action Extension” to highlight the button, then select “Actions” at the bottom of the page.
This brings you to a list of things you can do based on what the Workflow app offers. To convert an image to a PDF for printing, scroll down and find “Convert Image.” NOTE: You must hold down the title and drag it to the right for it to open.
We want the file to be a PDF so click on “JPEG” and from the list it populates, select PDF.
Click on “Actions” again from the bottom to go back to the main page. Scroll down to find “Quick Looks” and drag that over to add to the shortcut you’re creating.
Once it looks like the image above, click DONE in the right hand corner.
Go into your photo album and select the image you want to print. Click on the extension icon in the lower right hand corner.
This will bring up a list of options. You want to select “More” to find the workflow app.
On the page it brings up, turn on the “Run Workflow” option so the button turns green. Hit “Done.” This will generate an extension to use workflow as a shortcut.
Select the extension icon again and “Run Workflow” will be an option. Select this and it will take you to your Workflow shortcut.
Select the one you created. There should only be one option if this is the first time your’re using this app.
This generates your image as a PDF file. Now since it is a PDF we can print it with Mobi Print. Select the extension icon in the bottom right hand corner.
Select “Copy to Mobi Print” or “Print with Mobi Print.” One will work better than the other based on your connection and printer.
